About last week: 12th January 2020

A 2019 recap is still coming at some point, but 2020 doesn't wait.

The week was spent finalising the details for some virtual reality testing scheduled to begin a week from now, the results of which are to be shared with stakeholders via a video case study. There are a number of moving parts, many of which aren't generally a consideration with more traditional outputs, each with their own set of associated challenges.

On Friday, I joined a lunch & learn session at the We Discover offices. Mahesh Murali, VP of People Operations at Airtasker, presented an overview of behavioural economics to the team. I hadn't considered (or had perhaps forgotten) behavioural economics as an alternative to traditional economics, considering the influence of emotions in decision making, which was quite an interesting distinction.
